  We travel from Toronto just to stock up on their meat pies and the heavenly pecan pie! We recently tasted the chocolate pie and we were blown away by how richly decadent but not overly sweet it was. Never have been disappointed with anything I tried.

  I bought the turkey pie on recommendation from the sales clerk and was so completely disappointed. It's simply bad. The filling is mushy and the crust is so oily! Two days later and my house still smells like an old deep-fryer, despite my best efforts to air it out. And the "fillers" and preservatives in these baked goods! I was so surprised to see that from a small shop - thought I'd be buying "homemade" but with all the added preservatives, I think not. Furthermore, these pies are rather expensive given their taste and quality. I will most certainly not be returning.

  Augh, how not to stop here? We don't make desserts at home, hoping to not become the size of Baden Hill, but the pies are worth dying young, I guess. We tend to drop in here on our way to family gatherings, only to discover that others have done the same, resulting in much groaning in the evening, and promises to behave better tomorrow.
